Collapse: there are many things going in the wrong direction, resource depletion, that will likely cause civilization as we know it to not exist much longer. Learning how to grow your own food, even if only supplemental, is something you can start doing today. Learn how to “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” as your own daily habits. The 4 best life skills you can have if society does collapse is: Medical (first aid, medicine, doctor), Engineer (mechanical, electrical, building), Security (fighting, weapons, securing an area), and Food (growing, securing, preserving), so pick one and start learning it today.

A good intro overview, but isn’t everything (Peak Oil for example) : https://cache-baba.medium.com/the-future-is-grim-27ca6f7ab07b

A wise man once said “Collapse happens slowly at first, and then suddenly all at once”. Can you think of anything you had a hard time buying or could no longer buy this last year? Watch this next year for prices to go up a lot on various things that used to be cheaper. Is anything being rationed?  Are you hearing about food or water shortages or mass evictions or migrations in other countries? Is your bank starting to offer negative interest rates for savings accounts?

One thing I’ve noticed this year in the USA is there is an aluminum shortage and a sugar substitute shortage. Try searching for “Sprite Zero” RIGHT NOW, and try to buy it in any size of any aluminum can (not plastic bottle). A few sellers on Amazon and Ebay have it for $2/can or more, when it should be 10% of that price. No grocery stores have had it in stock for over 6 months.

Note: one real solution I’ve heard that would solve most food and climate issues is if all commodity farming changed to “multi-species pasture rotation” farming. This would cause food prices to go up to reasonable unsubsidized levels, but people are so used to cheap food they would think the prices are unfairly high. All that animal consumed grass and improved soil would resolve all CO2 issues and global warming could be fixed overnight. We still gotta get our consumption and pollution under control though worldwide, mass extinctions and plastic pollution will still doom us.
