Citizen of the Week Interview

Where are you from, and what do you do for a living? If you weren’t doing ______ , what would your dream job be?

I’m from Oslo, Norway. I work in electronics assembly/production, specifically LED lights for photo/video. As for a dream job, I’d rather not have one if I’m honest! I’d love to have the freedom to just do whatever my curiosity fancies.

What’s your favorite food? Top 3 favorite albums of all time?

I love a good spicy curry with garlic nan. Pink Floyd – The Dark Side of the Moon, Tom Waits – Nighthawks at the Diner, RJD2 – Inversions of the Colossus.

What’s one interesting fact about you that most people don’t know?

I have almost simian strength and dexterity in my toes. Watch out!

What’s your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to?

Has to be South Africa. I visited Cape Town, Stellenbosch, and KwaZulu-Natal a couple of years ago and it was amazing.

Favorite quote of all time?

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.

How did you first get into crypto?

I don’t remember how I was introduced to it exactly, but I recall mining Litecoin on a mid-range GPU in my student dorm for a while in 2013. Then I forgot all about it for a while and got reintroduced by the general mania in 2017. RaiBlocks/Nano was my big love back then.

What excites you most about the potential of the crypto/blockchain industry?

The decentralization/trustless aspect. Being able to create whatever I like, or trustlessly take out a loan without having to deal with a bank is pretty amazing. Let’s go bankless!

How did you first hear about XIO/Blockzero?

Last May, it must have been a shill post on reddit or something. Thanks, anon!

What is your favorite aspect of Blockzero?

The community/culture. It’s one of the friendliest crypto communities I’ve ever come across, which is refreshing and keeps me coming back.

What do you love most about the Blockzero community? Explain a bit more about your particular niche within the Blockzero community, and how you got started?

I like the feeling of building something cool together, the lack of pure moonboi hype, the friendliness and transparency. I got started by just answering questions in Telegram. I’m a curious guy and generally like to understand projects I’m involved with pretty well, so I might as well answer some questions here and there when I’m around on Telegram. And that’s mostly what I do when I have the time. It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.
